I have some great news for H-E-B shoppers! H-E-B has finally updated their coupon policy with specific verbiage that says you can use a coupon on the item you are paying for in a buy this, get that free coupon AND that you can use additional coupons with those basket total offers like the $10/$30 L’Oreal purchase coupons we see quite often! I would recommend printing a new copy of the policy for your binder or bookmarking it on your phone so you can pull it up easily in the store if you are having issues with these scenarios at your store.
Both of these have been allowed for a LONG time, but since it was not specifically listed in the policy many of you were having issues at your stores since the cashier or manager did not understand that this is not stacking, but something we call “piggybacking” in the coupon world. Unfortunately they did not bring back the stack, but we’ll take what we can get! The new policy went in to effect on 4/6 so get shopping!
If you are not familiar with the concepts of stacking and piggybacking, you can check out my post here to clarify.
